EMF devices are used by Paranormal Investigators to search for what is known as Electro magnetic fields. This is an electrical energy given off by electrical devices such as computers, TV’s, etc. It is also believed that ghosts can give off an Electro magnetic field, hence why they are used.

On investigation the EMF device has proven popular and useful.

The way to use an EMF device is simple, first select the type of device you want to use, analogue or digital. Then switch on the device, check it is working by sweeping passed a TV, which is switched on, the device should pick up on the TV’s signal. Once it has been confirmed that the device is working start to sweep about the area where ghost activity has been reported. What you are looking for is any spikes in the signal or any audible sounds or flashing lights. If the meter has activated and all false signals have been accounted for, then you may have picked up on a spirits EMF?

Spirits have also been know to leave a trace, this is where they have been but have moved on. EMF devices can still pick up on traces and give signal that a ghost had been in the room. More often than not though, the device picks up on the presence of a spirit.
